Newsletter – February 2012

Dear Sponsors,
Glenda and I can say that we have had a blessed month of huge amounts of work.
  • We have enrolled 175 children in school.
  • We have started all the ministries but the tattoo removal inside the prison.
  • We have removed some tattoos outside of the prison but still need to get reconnected with the prison ministry.

We have lots more to share so we encourage you to take a look at the newsletter (attached).  We want to say thank you again for your support and prayers because that is what is keeping us up and running and allowing us to be a blessing to the Honduran people.

With our Love,
Mike and Glenda

Please pray for the following:

  • For the Pearson’s who are staying with us for 2 ½ months in helping us out and also looking for direction from the Lord in how they can serve Him better.
  • A little girl named Kenia who is sponsored by the ministry and has been taken from her home by the government social services because she was being sexually and physically abused. Glenda and her 2nd grade teacher have been working on this situation.
  • Kelin who dropped out of school and is apart of Glenda’s girls youth group.
  • Argelia who dropped out of school because she just wants to wander the streets and is very angry towards her mother in why she has to have so many boy friends and dealing in why she was abandoned by her.
  • Loyda who has told she has only 6 months to live. Prayer that she can be healed by the Name of Jesus.
  • For the teams that are fund raising and are coming to Honduras.
  • Our Boys and Girls Youth groups. We have seen an explosion in growth and they are hungry for the word.
  • Financial support for Michael and Glenda as missionaries.

Lord, our prayer is that we can be like Barnabas who sold his filed and laid it at the feet of the Apostles. Our prayer is that more will come forth and lay down sacrifice and commitment in front of the feet of Jesus. Our prayer is that those who come to the name of Jesus will be encouraged and look in how they can be encouragers of other so they too may lay their lives at the feet of Jesus. Lord you know all and see all and it our desire to do your will and be in your will in all these tough decisions we need to make daily in this ministry. Lord bless the children we are helping and give patience to those who are in need and waiting. Lord teach us how to be more compassionate and open to your word and will. Lord we also pray for those who are incarcerated and are scared in wondering if there prison is going to be next or there section is going to be torched. Our prayers are for them and their fear. Lord give us strength for the teams and discernment to help those who come to serve and to those they serve. We thank you Precious Jesus for this opportunity to serve you in Honduras. Jesus name, Amen.
