Boys Youth Group Update 2011

In between the teams coming from the States the ministry continued with its “normal” ministry. One thing I promised my boys was that we would be camping and going to parks as usual. All I had to do was to slip it in between teams. The boys sold food every Saturday to raise funds and actually the teams with their generous hearts and love for donuts and French fries helped the boys with the extra funds needed to be able to do the things they had only dreamed about. Our theme this year which is on our shirts.

They really want to try to be an example of living a life for Christ and not for the world. They continue to have there Thursday night Bible studies. The boys raised funds and went to Wonderland Park. This park is 4 hrs. away from their homes. It was worth the travel. They had water slides, a water river that flowed throughout the park, soccer field, and a place to purchase pizza or chicken. They want to go back because there was so much to do and not enough time to do it all in one day. The other thing the boys just did was go camping for 2 days. While planning for the camping trip they wanted to purchase water gun so they could have water war games during the day and night. This doesn’t just include the guns but they fill over 1,000 water bombs as well. It is a complete blast for them. They usually have their bonfire around 2am at which they are just getting a little sleepy. I say a little because they get to bed around 5 am. They are continuing to bond together, pray together, seek Jesus together and learn from one another in how they need to keep their responsibilities to their studies, families, community, and to the youth group. They are fine young men and we are very proud of them. God has blessed BBM with an opportunity to be apart of their lives and help rescue them from being lost. Please continue to pray for them as they are trying to raise funds for a trip to Copan Mayan Ruins.
