Coming Close To Being Finished

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

Many times all we can do is sit back and marvel at what God has done. This scripture is so true because we sometimes can’t fathom what God is doing in the beginning of a project and at the end of a project we can only shake our heads and say wow look what the Lord has done. We know for a fact that the people in Rincon are saying this. They look upon the new building in the Venezuela School and only wonder what is going to become of this. Children are excited that they will be able to learn computers this year. Parents are excited because their school is becoming beautiful and becoming an opportunity for their children. So we want to share with all of you more updates of the work that has been completed while we were home with you in January.

These photos show the new steel protective window covers that seal off the window openings. The downstairs window frames are a little different than the second floor because we didn’t install regular windows like the second floor. So we did install steel mosquito screening to keep the bugs out. In the top right photo you can not see the screening.

Pastor Giron worked on building concrete base cabinets with ceramic tile. He also installed the sink and connected the water lines. The top left photo shows where the refrigerator will go. The top right photo shows where the electric stove will go. The blessing that the public schools have is free electricity. Hopefully in the next week we’ll be purchasing the appliances for this kitchen.

This is the other side of the kitchen-cafeteria. Where this young man is, is where the pick-nick tables will be for the children to receive lunches. The school is planning on fund raising to lay ceramic tile on the floor to finish it off.

This is a dream come true. It is a project that I personally wanted done. We had a block wall built 4’ high and that surround the perimeter of the court. We also installed 8’ of wire mesh that was concreted in and stretched tight to keep the balls from flying out. This court is the talk in the Barrio. The kids love this court because they don’t have to chase after the balls. (Note there is a steep slope or bank that is behind the court.) The guard loves this court for security reasons, the youth love the court because they can come and play Saturday nights. All we have left is to paint the outside of the building, stencil names of all those who donated, paint the new court walls; purchase the appliances, pick-nick tables and cooking ware.

We can’t believe how fast this went up and how fast it was completed. God does everything in His time and His way. This is our testimony to the Barrio Rincon, the school and all of you back home. This is what God has done from beginning to end.

Ecclesiastes 3:12 “I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.”
